BOARDMAN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, officiated by Rev. Dave Watkins at Crossroads Church, Austintown, for Mark A. Odum, 39 of Boardman, who passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 25.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mark was born April 22, 1980, a son of Edward J. and Jody Heitzwebel Odom, Sr.
A 1998 graduate of Boardman High School, he attended Youngstown State University and worked at Boak and Sons as the foreman in the flat roofing department.
An athlete, Mark enjoyed weightlifting, coaching, soccer and football.
Mark was a devout member of Crossroads Church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, the former Mandy Renee Laihr, whom he married May 19, 2001 and his children, Destiny, Christian and Kellan, all at home in Boardman; his parents of Boardman; brothers, Edward (Tracie) Odom, Jr. of Austintown and Kevin Odum of Chesapeake, Virginia; sister, Amber (Billy) Bjorkgren of Columbus; grandparents, Mary Ann Odom of Austintown and Richard Heitzwebel of Cortland and mother-in-law, Lynda Laihr.
Mark is preceded in death by grandfather, Ashford Odum; grandmother, Georgia Lee Dugic and father-in-law, James Laihr.
Friends may call from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 3 at the Fox Funeral Home, Boardman.
