Canfield crime activity: Teen charged with giving THC oil to MCCTC student

Wednesday, April 10

10:56 a.m. – 7300 block of N. Palmyra Rd., police said a 17-year-old passed out at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center after vaping a THC oil. Officers said they were able to find the 16-year-old who gave him the drugs, who was charged with drug abuse, drug paraphernalia and obstructing official business.

Wednesday, April 24

3:29 p.m. – Connor Snyder, 20, of Bristolville, charged with OVI from a traffic stop on December 10, 2018 in the 600 block of W. Main St. Police said they smelled marijuana coming from his car. According to a report, Snyder admitted to smoking pot the night before but said he wasn’t high anymore. Police said sobriety tests showed otherwise.

Thursday, April 25

3 p.m. – 500 block of Main St., Barbara Akuszewski, 73, charged with theft and criminal trespass. Police said Akuszewski stole a bottle of wine from Giant Eagle. The store said she’s done this twice before and was ordered not to come back. Police said her Giant Eagle card had been used at that store 107 times even though she was not allowed to be there.
