YSU Men's Basketball falls to Central Michigan in triple-overtime

The Chippewas topped the Penguins 100-94 in triple-overtime

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - The Youngstown State Men's Basketball Team fell to Central Michigan 100-94 in triple-overtime Tuesday night at Beeghly Center.

The Penguins placed four players in double-figures. Garrett  Covington led all scorers with 26 points and 12 rebounds. Devin Morgan tallied 25 points, while Naz Bohannon finished with 14 points and 20 rebounds. Donel Cathcart III added 12 in the loss.

Leading the way for the Chippewas was Larry Austin with 24 points and 11 rebounds and Shawn Roundtree with 23 points. Rob Montgomery posted 17 points and Dallas Morgan added 15.

The Penguins fall to 3-7 overall while the Chippewas improve to 7-2.

YSU returns to action on Saturday at home against Western Michigan. Tipoff is slated for 2PM.
