Win streak ends: YSU Men fall to Northern Kentucky

Northern Kentucky held off Youngstown State 76-69 Thursday night in Horizon League Men’s Basketball action.

The Penguins saw their six-game win streak come to an end with the setback.

Naz Bohannon led YSU with 17 points, while Garrett Covington added 13 in the setback. Devin Morgan also reached double-figures with 10.

NKU’s Drew McDonald piled up a game-high 27 points for the Norse. Jalen Tate finished with 15, while Tyler Sharpe added 14 in the victory.

Northern Kentucky improves to 21-7 overall and 11-4 in Horizon League action.

YSU drops to 12-17 overall on the campaign and 8-8 in league play.

The Penguins return to action Saturday at Wright State. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m.
