West Middlesex survives late Sharpsville comeback

The Blue Devils erased a 14-point halftime deficit but fell in the fourth

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa (WKBN) - The West Middlesex boys grabbed their 4th-straight win Sunday afternoon as the Big Reds got the win over Sharpsville 52-46.

The Big Reds led by 14 at the half but the Blue Devils erased that deficit, tying the game several times down the stretch.

But the Big Reds proved to be too much in the fourth quarter thanks to Jake Bowen who scored 8 of his 15 in the final frame.

Four others scored in double-figures for the Big Reds led by Zach Long with 13, Braden Hanahan added 12 while Ricky Ladjevich chipped in 10.

For Sharpsville, Jackson Doyle led the way with 17 while Luke Levis had 10.

West Middlesex improves to 9-2 while falls to 7-5.
