Warren Harding to name Keelyn Franklin as boys basketball coach

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Warren City School Board of Education plans to vote Tuesday night on the appointment of Keelyn Franklin as the new varsity boys basketball coach at Warren G. Harding High School.

Franklin is a 2007 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.

He played basketball under the direction of Coach Steve Arnold, and also played four years of college basketball at Shawnee State University.

Franklin has served as a freshman, junior varsity and assistant varsity coach at Warren G. Harding.

Franklin also served as the coordinator of Warren Youth Basketball League (YBL) that services youth basketball players in grades 4-6.

“Keelyn Franklin understands the dynamics of being the head basketball coach at Warren G. Harding. He is a great role model and mentor for our student athletes and will hold high standards for our players both on and off the court,” said William Nicholson, Warren’s athletic director.
