Vienna Strong! Mathews grad Addy Jarvis blanks Cleveland State


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)-Mathews standout and Youngstown State freshman Addy Jarvis grabbed her 10th win of the season, helping the Penguins to a win over Cleveland State 3-0 Friday evening.

Jarvis didn’t allow a run over 7 innings, allowing just four hits with 10 strikeouts.

YSU opened the scoring in the 3rd inning when Grace Cea smashed a double to right which scored Yazmine Romero and Lexi Zappitelli.

Later in the 3rd, Alex DeLeon put one down the first baseline for the RBI single that scored Cea.

Cea went 1-3 on the day with the 2 RBIs while Romero and Zappitelli each had 2 hits.

YSU welcomes CSU back to the Covelli Sports Complex on Saturday for a doubleheader that starts at 1PM.
