Ursuline opened the 2018-19 season with two close losses to Lake (57-52) and South Range (58-54) before turning in three consecutive victories including tonight over Warren JFK, 64-35. Travis Easterly scored a game-high 15 points and R.J. Clark poured in 10 for the Irish. Ursuline outrebounded the Eagles, 34-17. The Irish also connected on 11 of 17 free throws (64.7%) and 9 of 20 from long distance (45.0%). Dylan Karlovic, Easterly and Clark all had a pair of three-point baskets.
For JFK, Tyrel James and Gianni Eaton led the team in scoring with 7 points apiece. The Eagles unofficially finished 2 for 23 from three-point land.
Ursuline (3-2) is back in action this Saturday versus Buchtel. Kennedy (2-2) will host Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin on Friday.
