Ursuline Softball races past Cardinal Mooney in battle of unbeatens

The Ursuline Softball Team rolled past Cardinal Mooney 11-1 in six innings Tuesday evening at the Covelli Sports Complex.

Emily Holland and Julia Nutter hit back to back home runs in the 2nd inning. 

Holland (5-0) tossed a 5-hitter in the circle with four strikeouts. She also tallied a pair of hits with 2 RBI.

Nutter added a double, single and drove in four runs.

Destiny Goodnight added 3 hits and scored 3 runs, while Alyssa Sheely hit a single and triple. Gia Caldrone hit a single, double and 2 RBI.

Macy Ross also added 2 singles.

Mooney’s Catie Perry had 2 hits which included a solo home. Alaina Francis doubled in the loss for the Cardinals. 

Ursuline remains undefeated at 9-0, while Cardinal Mooney drops to 7-1 on the campaign.
