St. Vincent-St. Mary, ranked #4 in the first AP poll this week, topped Ursuline tonight, 69-30. St. V’s went up 22-8 after the first quarter and cruised to their 9th win of the year. Eleven players scored for the Irish led by Marcus Johnson and Chris Painter, who scored 10 points apiece. Lundon McDay and Seth Wilson contributed 8 points respectively.
Ursuline fell to 6-6. Devan Keevey paced the Irish with 12 points. RJ Clark, who had scored 15-points or more in his last 6 games, was held to 6 points. Ursuline shot just 10.5% from three-point land (2-19).
Ursuline will return to action this Friday when they will welcome Massillon as St. V’s returns home to face Wayne.
