Springfield snaps a rare 2-game losing streak with a 78-40 road win at Lisbon tonight. The Tigers improve to 15-4 overall as the Blue Devils fall to 9-10.
Springfield was led by Beau Brungard – who scored a season-high 17 points. Drew Clark also added 15 while Shane Eynon tallied 14 and Evan Ohlin also scored 10 for the Tigers. Springfield had lost their last two games (both on the road) to Lowellville (57-48) and Waterloo (51-40).
After winning five in a row, Lisbon has lost their last two contests (to #3 Toronto and now to Springfield). The Blue Devils were led by Ryan McCullough’s 12 and Justin Sweeney’s 10 points.
The Tigers will finish up their regular season slate with three home dates – Columbiana, Girard and LaBrae. Lisbon also has three home games to play with Jackson-Milton, Malvern and Western Reserve all on their upcoming schedule.
