Rasile & Portolese combined to score 69; McDonald wins 6 of 7

Don’t look now but McDonald has won 6 of their last 7 games following tonight’s 93-55 win at Mathews tonight. The Blue Devils were led by Zach Rasile’s 42 points. Jake Portolese scored 11 in the third quarter to close out his night with 27. Cam Tucker also finished in double-figures with 10.

The Mustangs fall to 10-9 as they drop their second straight home game (on Friday, Mathews fell to Pymatuning Valley – 62-50). Vinny Sharp paced Mathews with 15. Sharp set the school mark for the most three-pointers in a single game in school history against Maplewood on February 1. Vinny landed 10 thee-point shots. John Smith also tallied 10 points. Smith had averaged 19 points over his last two games.

McDonald (12-7) will next face Chaney on Friday. Mathews will finish the regular season versus Lowellville on the road and Jackson-Milton and Southington at home.
