NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A rally was held at the Eastwood Mall Wednesday to celebrate the South Range Raiders football team.

In December, the team captured the Ohio Division V State Championship.

It was the first in the team’s history. To honor the achievement, the mall invited the players to a public rally.

Twenty seniors were recognized for their hard work and dedication this season both on the field and in the classroom.

As part of the festivities, the Cafaro Foundation also made a $10,000 donation to South Range High School.

“I’m so proud of them and the rest of the team. It’s a dream come true. I’m pinching myself every day just to see if it really is real,” said Dan Yeagley, South Range’s head coach.
