YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)-The Youngstown Phantoms grabbed a 4-1 win over the Team USA U17’s in the regular season finale Saturday night, but a Chicago win eliminated the Phantoms hopes of a first round bye in the Clark Cup Playoffs.

Youngstown will open the postseason in Round 1 on Monday at the Covelli Centre against the Dubuque Fighting Saints. Faceoff is slated for 7:05PM.

The best-of-three series will continue Tuesday at the Covelli Centre with another 7:05PM puck drop. And if necessary, Game 3 would be Wednesday in Youngstown at 7:05PM.

The Phantoms scored four straight goals Saturday night to top Team USA after falling behind after the first period 1-0.

Gianfranco Cassaro, Matthew DeMelis, Brett Murray, and Connor MacEachern all scored in the win. It was Murray’s 41st of the year which is a club record and led the USHL in the regular season.
