GREENVILLE, North Carolina (WKBN) – Austintown’s run in the Little League Softball World Series has ended following a 16-1 loss in three innings to Southeast (Winterville, North Carolina) in elimination game on Wednesday afternoon.

Austintown’s lone run came in the top of the first on a Bella Baumgart RBI double.

Southeast plated seven runs in the bottom of the first inning and took the lead for good. They later scored eight runs in the bottom of the third inning to end the game.

Austintown finishes Little League World Series play with a record of 1-2. The team picked up an impressive 5-0 win over San Jose, California on Tuesday morning.
