YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Chaney Cowboys’ season came to an end Friday night, with a 31-7 loss in round two of the high school football playoffs to Kenston.
Nikko Georgiou scored two touchdowns for the Bombers in the first half and added a third in the second half.
Trailing 31-0 in the fourth quarter, Ja’Veon Young scored the lone Cowboys’ touchdown when he blocked a punt and then recovered it in the end zone.
Chaney finished the season with a record of 10-2.
The Chaney Cowboys advanced last week with a 35-21 victory over Alliance. Kenston defeated University School 40-33 in round one.
#13 Kenston (8-3) will take on #1 Chardon (10-1) in week three.
