Kennedy Catholic fends off Farrell, captures District 10 Title

Slippery Rock, PA (WKBN) - The Kennedy Catholic boys basketball team defeated Farrell, 73-65 Friday in the Class A District 10 Championship at Slippery Rock University.

The Golden Eagles trailed 25-24 at halftime, but used a strong third quarter to break the game open.

Malik Miller scored a game-high 31 points and passed the school's all-time scoring record on a three pointer in the 2nd quarter. Miller needed just 4 points to break the record.

Jason Austin led the way for Kennedy Catholic with 23 points, while Channing Phillips had 15 and Mohamed Konate 13.

Kennedy Catholic improves to 23-2 on the season, while Farrell drops to 19-6.
