CANTON, Ohio (WKBN) – Howland senior Jared Mindek won the OHSAA DII 100 Breaststroke State Championship Thursday evening with a time of 56.77.
Mindek is a four-time state qualifier and an All-American.
In addition, he placed seventh in the 200 IM with a new school record time of 1:56.82.
Mindek has capped off his high school career as the most decorated swimmer in the history of the Howland program. He has set four program records and is the first in program history to win a state title.
