Howland softball handles Harding behind 7 K’s from Miller


The Howland softball team raced out to an early lead and defeated Warren Harding, 13-3 Tuesday at Burbank Park.

The Tigers scored five runs in the first inning and did not look back in a comfortable win. Howland finished with 12 hits, while Harding recorded six hits as a team.

Howland’s Marissa Miller notched seven strikeouts in a complete game effort. The Tigers sweep the first two games over the Raiders and improve to 2-0 on the season.
