YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – For the first time in 35 years, Golden Gloves boxing was back in the valley on Saturday evening.

The event was put on by local trainer Jack Loew in conjunction with the Cleveland Golden Gloves.

The event was held at the Saxon Club, and featured a total of 15 fights. Boxers ranged from 18 to 41 years of age and are divided into three separate divisions.

Saturday night’s winners will advance to compete in the Cleveland finals which will take place on June 17-18.
