FOXBOROUGH, Massachusetts (WKBN) – In the 4th round of the NFL Draft, the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots picked Arkansas offensive lineman Hjalte Froholdt with the 118th selection. The former foreign exchange student (from Denmark) at Harding is pegged to be in line to get a crack at center according to the Boston Globe. He was a three-year starter for the Razorbacks and was named to the Second-Team All-SEC as a senior in 2018.
After his time at Harding, Froholdt went onto help IMG Academy achieve a 10-win season in only their second season of existence. Hjalte chose the Razorbacks over the likes of Ohio State, Penn State, Alabama, Notre Dame and Michigan. In the NFL, his versatility to move from center to guard should be useful. At the combine, he took 31 reps on the bench press and was able to get through the 20-yard shuffle in 4.54 seconds.
