Fitch registered their first win of the season by defeating Howland, 63-43. The Falcons were riding an 11-game losing streak (dating back to February 23 of last season). Fitch was paced by four players who scored in double-figures – Todd Simons (17), Kris Brown (14), Lorenzo Russo (13) and Tommy Leskovec (10). Fitch sank 10 of 17 from the free throw line. Brown and Russo connected on a pair of three point shots apiece.
Howland was led by Nathan Barrett’s 13 points (5-7 FT) as Cam Durig also reached double-figures with 10 points.
The Tigers will play at Boardman on Friday and the Falcons will welcome Canfield.
