Fitch Girls top Harding; Falcons win first Sectional crown since 1994

The Austintown Fitch Girls Basketball Team won its first Sectional crown since 1994 following a 49-33 win over Warren Harding Thursday night in the Division I Sectional Final.

The Falcons placed three players in double figures. Jada Lazaro led the way with 13 points, while Taylor Fronk added 12. Sabria Hunter chipped in with 10 points in the victory.

Indea Phillips led the Raiders with 12 points, while Kamarah Bender added 11 in the setback.

With the win, Austintown Fitch improves to 18-5 on the season.

The Falcons advance to face Stow-Munroe Falls in the Division I District Semifinals Monday at 7:45 p.m. at Ravenna High School.
