With less than a minute left to go in their game with South Range, and his big brother watching courtside, Niles’ senior Cyler Kane-Johnson connected on a single free throw breaking the school’s all-time scoring record Friday night.
Cyler finished with a game-high 24 points, and now has 1,344 for his career. That’s two better than his older brother Cameron Kane-Johnson scored in his varsity career with the Red Dragons.
It was a milestone moment for the senior, but a loss for Niles. South Range won the game 61-46. The Raiders got a team high 23 points from junior Chris Brooks. Senior Jaxon Anderson had 14 points, and senior Chris Brown chipped in 10.
