Comeback Panthers: Bristol girls rally from 22-point deficit to shock Py Valley

The Panthers trailed 24-2 in the 2nd quarter before a huge 2nd half run

BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) - The Bristol girls basketball team rallied from a 22-point deficit Monday to defeat Pymatuning Valley, 49-42 at Bristol High School. 

The Panthers trailed 24-2 in the 2nd quarter, but clawed their way back into the game in the second half. 

Bristol outscored the Lakers, 19-9 in the 3rd quarter and finished with 18 points in the 4th quarter to seal the comeback victory. 

Sophomore Brittany Mooney led the charge for Bristol with 19 points, while freshman Bella Zirzow added 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Py Valley was paced by senior Ashley Hall with 16 points. 

With the win, Bristol improves to 7-5 overall and 6-1 in the NEAC, while Pymatuning Valley drops to 9-5 and 6-1 in conference play.
