The Ursuline boys basketball team picked up their fifth straight win in a 69-63 victory over Badger Tuesday at Ursuline High School.
The Irish (11-9) raced out to a fast start, taking a 35-25 lead into halftime. Despite a 26-point effort from Badger in the fourth quarter, Ursuline still held on for a six point victory.
RJ Clark led the charge with 19 points for the Irish, while Devan Keevey had 16. Daysean Harris also scored 13 points and Travis Easterly chipped in 11.
Badger was paced by Aiden Miller with a game-high 24 point, while Logan Lendak had 13.
Ursuline’s State Tournament run begins in two weeks against Hubbard on February 26th. The Irish enter the Division II Youngstown District as the number four seed.
Badger (16-4) already earned the number one seed in the Division IV Orwell District. Following an opening round bye, the Braves open their tournament run March 1st against the winner of St. John and Southington.
