WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) Gianna Clemente is an up-and-coming star on the golf course and at just 11-years old has already played at Augusta National.
The Warren native is a three-time World Champion and has 108 career victories in 130 events played. Nowadays, she plays year-round in both Ohio and Florida. Her home course in Trumbull County is Avalon Lakes Country Club
“I never really thought I would be one of the best in the world as an 11-year-old, said Clemente. “But now I just want to be one of the best of all time basically.”
Three years ago, she won a Drive, Chip, and Putt event at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman. Clemente eventually qualified to compete at Augusta National Golf Club, the home of the Masters.
“It was definitely amazing,” she said. “I’ve watched the Masters every year with my dad and it was definitely really amazing to putt on the 18th green and finally be there.”
