Bristol softball walks off victory over Grand Valley

BRISTOLVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Bristol walks off their 6-5 win tonight over Grand Valley. Bristol led 4-0 entering the top of the sixth. Then, Grand Valley went up 5-4 in the last half of the seventh inning. The Panthers were led by Alayna Sines (3 hits), Kendyl Switzer (2 hits), and Emily Bush (2 hits). Switzer drove in 2 runs and Bush hit a homerun. Switzer struck out 10 and allowed 3 hits through 5 2/3 innings of work in the center circle. Jaylyn Mullenax closed the door by pitching the game’s final 1 1/3 innings – tallying all of her outs via the strikeout. 

For Grand Valley, Megan Hopes homered and also doubled. Thursday, the Lady Mustangs will visit Pymatuning Valley.

Bristol will visit Newbury tomorrow.
