Boardman 12U Little League Baseball falls to New Albany

Boardman Community LL 12U All-Stars stayed in it until the end, but New Albanypulled away late in a 3-1 victory on Thursday.  

The game was tied 1-1 at one when took the lead on a 2-run double.

The pitching was strong on both sides. New Albany pitchers struck out 14, while Boardman punched out seven.

Boardman got on the board in the first inning.  Dylan Barrett drove in a run on a single.

New Albany pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning, including a solo homer.

Gavin Hyde started the game for Boardman, and allowed four hits and three runs over four innings, striking out six without allowing a walk.

Dylan Barrett, Ryan Conti, Gavin Hyde, and Caleb Satterfield each managed one hit to lead Boardman. 

Boardman Community LL 12U All-Stars BCB didn’t commit a single error in the setback.

Boardman plays Hamilton on Friday at 6pm in the consolation bracket final.
