Keys on Offense

Sophomore Parker Sherry is back under center after enjoying much success as a freshman. Sherry threw for over 1,300-yards and ran for almost another 900. The Bulldogs lost a ton of talent at the skill positions with the graduation of Josh Pickett (1300-yard rusher), Jarrod Figley (24-yards per catch average), Ryan Ross, and Grant Wagner. The line play should be a real strength of the team as many contributors will return up front.

Keys on Defense

Defensively, the Bulldogs lost a ton with the graduation of their strong senior class. However, Trevor Kimmel and Vinnie DeLaRosa both return to anchor the defensive side of the ball. The defense went from allowing 40 points per game in 2014 to a unit which allowed just 22 points per outing.

Final Analysis

When we saw Jarrod Figley carry out the “EP” flag in mid-November before the Bulldogs’ playoff contest in Magnolia, we knew that this team had arrived. A six-year playoff drought was in their rear view. Although Sandy Valley eliminated East Palestine from the first round (38-14) – these Bulldogs, which began the season with a 1-3 mark, had won six straight to close out the year which included a monster win over Crestview (47-34) and a one-point victory (26-25) over South Range in the regular season finale.
