YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police are trying to piece together facts in the city’s sixth homicide so far this year.
Police said the victim is related to another recent shooting victim.
Officers were sent to a house at the corner of Atkinson and Bennington avenues around 6:30 a.m. Friday.
They found 49-year-old Ronald Lewis dead from multiple gunshot wounds. His wife, Tracey, was wounded. She was taken to the St. Elizabeth Health Center for her wounds.
Reports say two men wearing masks ran off before officers arrived.
The shooting happened at the same house where police found Javel Bates wounded on March 8. Bates is Ronald Lewis’ half-brother, and he died on Wednesday from his injuries.
At this point, police have not made any arrests and they haven’t released a motive. They aren’t making any specific connections between the two incidents other than the relationship between the two men.
Anyone with information is asked to call either the Youngstown Police Department at 330-742-8926 or Greater Youngstown Crimestoppers at 330-746-CLUE (2583).
