BURGHILL, Ohio (WKBN) – Roadwork on State Route 7 in Burghill will go on a little bit longer than expected after a resident alerted 27 First News to a culvert on the verge of collapsing.
The culvert is located about 200 yards north of Bradley Brownlee Road.
It’s collapsing and created a hole about three feet deep.
After 27 First News called about the hole, Ohio Department of Transportation officials say they’ll make repairs.
“Unfortunately, in most cases, the project limits are the project limits,” Brent Kovacs of ODOT said. “But in this case, they’re just going to make some repairs with our county forces.”
ODOT is already working on a 4 million dollar paving project in Hartford Township right by the sink hole.
Cones have been put up to warn drivers.
