WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The 14-year-old girl accused of shooting and killing her father appeared in court on Tuesday, where she was called a “serious juvenile offender.”

Bresha Meadows pleaded “not true,” similar to a not guilty plea, to an aggravated murder charge.

Police accuse her of shooting her father, Jonathan Meadows, last week in their home on Hunter Street NW.

A family member says the shooting came after years of abuse from Jonathan Meadows.

Bresha is being tried in juvenile court, although prosecutors could decide to have her tried as an adult. She is currently being held in a juvenile facility and will turn 15 next week.
