GREEN TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – It has been almost a week since the warehouse at Saddle Creek Farms caught fire, and there’s still no word on what may have sparked it.

The company delivers and packages bedding for farm animals.

Owner Walter Fuchs said there’s no question that they will rebuild, but now, they’re trying to figure out ways to keep serving customers during the process.

“It’s gonna be difficult, but we’re ready for the task. I mean, we’ll get it back up and running,” he said.

Fuchs estimates that damages could be anywhere from $800,000 to $1 million.

“It’s overwhelming to see that, you know, us as a family building, a business, and seeing that one night it’s all gone,” he said.

Right now, he’s waiting to get the OK to clean up so they can begin to rebuild. He expects to continue operations in the next two to three weeks, and in the meantime, has a surplus of stock in other warehouses to provide for customers.

Even though there’s a lot of work to do, Fuchs said he is grateful for the support he is receiving.

“It’s pretty neat to see so many people come together and help you when you’re in a desperate situation,” he said.

Fuchs says they’re looking into having features like a sprinkler system installed to the warehouse once they rebuild — something that will hopefully prevent this from happening again.
