SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – A woman was cited after police said her dogs attacked a Sharon man and his 4-year-old daughter.
Sharon Police were called just after 7:30 p.m. Friday to the 400 block of Malleable St. for the reported attack.
The victim told police that he and his daughter were walking near the home when a pit bull jumped through a hole in the fence biting his daughter on her finger and leg. He said he attempted to stop the attack when the dog turned on him.
Two more pit bull dogs then jumped out of a window of the home and attacked the man until people in the area were able to beat them away with sticks, police said.
Police said the victim was bleeding profusely from his hand and leg, and his left pant leg was torn. Police did not say whether the victims received medical attention.
Anita Scheller was cited with three counts of harboring a dangerous dog. She told police that the owner of the dogs was not home at the time of the reported attack.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture was notified of the situation.
