WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Trumbull County grand jury has indicted a man who police describe as a major player in the local drug trade.

Police said they’re happy to get Rafael “Rico” Patterson, 26, off the streets.

Rafael Patterson, also known as Rico, was indicted on seven felony counts of trafficking and two counts of drug possession.

Patterson entered a “not guilty” plea at his arraignment Monday, and a judge set his bond at $10,000.

Investigators said that Patterson knowingly sold or tried selling drugs, including heroin and cocaine, in the vicinity of a school. Following a raid at his home, police said they found more than $17,000 in cash.

Patterson is due back in court next week.
