MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) — Investigators said Robert Syme, 81, the pilot of an Ohio plane crash, was severely injured when the wheels of his single-engine plane got stuck in the mud while landing, causing the plane to flip over.

Syme is from Westfield Township.

The accident happened about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Crazy Bob’s Airport, also in Westfield.

The accident is under investigation.
