Report: 2 killed in Beaver County head-on crash

Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 376 in Beaver County, Pennsylvania on Thursday afternoon, KDKA in Pittsburgh reported.

The accident in the eastbound lanes was between the Hopewell and Airport exits around 1 p.m.

Pennsylvania State Police said an 87-year-old driver was eastbound but then pulled onto the right shoulder, made a U-turn and started driving westbound in the eastbound lane.

He then hit a car driven by an 82-year-old man.

Both drivers were killed in the crash.

A viewer sent us a photo of the crash, which blocked the road. The eastbound lanes were closed while crews cleared the scene.
