Pittsburgh police: Suspects sought after shots fired at officers

Police said two people emerged, fired shots at the officers and fled

PITTSBURGH (AP) - Police in Pittsburgh are seeking suspects who they say shot at two officers in the city.

City police said on their Facebook page that officers tried to stop a car with multiple occupants at about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Police said two people emerged, fired shots at the officers and fled. The officers weren't hit and pursued the two on foot as the car drove away. Police said the officers didn't fire any shots.

Officers thought the suspects ran into a home, but a SWAT team cleared the house and found no suspects. The car was found at another residence and 'numerous' people inside were taken in for questioning.

No arrests were announced and police are still investigating.
