Pa. woman who left car is struck, killed by hit-and-run driver

Pennsylvania

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Authorities say a passenger who jumped out of a car in Philadelphia was soon struck and killed by the vehicle as the driver traveled in reverse and also hit several parked cars.

Police say 37-year-old Abra Johnson left the vehicle around 7:15 a.m. Sunday because two men with guns were approaching the car.

Surveillance video shows the car then went in reverse and struck three cars before Johnson was hit. The driver then struck a fourth vehicle before getting out of the car and walking away from the scene.

A witness performed CPR on Johnson but she died a short time later. No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the car remained at large Monday.
