Man charged in largest seizure of meth in history of Western Pa.

A man from West Virginia is facing federal drug trafficking charges in a drug seizure that prosecutors are calling the largest in the history of Western Pennsylvania.

Durrell Anthony Jones is charged with drug conspiracy and possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine.

Troopers stopped Jones’ car Sunday on I-79 near Portersville for a traffic violation.  A search of the car uncovered 122 pounds of methamphetamine and 10 pounds of cocaine.

Police also discovered Jones has an active warrant out of Michigan.

Jones appeared in federal court in Pittsburgh and is being held without bond.
