Gunman fatally shoots Pa. woman inside convenience store

Pennsylvania

Authorities say a man armed with a rifle shot and killed a woman inside a Philadelphia-area convenience store.

The shooting at the store in Radnor occurred shortly before 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say the man had a rifle when he entered the store and appeared to target the 37-year-old woman. They say he then shot her at least twice before leaving the store and driving away.

Police found the man in the vehicle about three hours later. They say the rifle used was also in the car.

Authorities arrested 34-year-old Brian Kennedy on homicide, first-degree murder and other charges. Court records do not list an attorney’s name who could comment on his behalf.

Officials say the man and the victim knew each other, but they declined further comment.
