(WJET) – A bill reintroduced in the Pennsylvania Senate is trying to eliminate a winter driving danger.
Christine’s Law would require all drivers to clear snow and ice from their vehicles within 24 hours following a storm. It’s named for a woman killed on Christmas Day in 2004 when ice flew off a truck on I-80 and crashed through her windshield.
State Senator Dan Laughlin is a lead sponsor of the bill introduced by Senator Lisa Boscola.
Christine’s Law passed the Senate last year but was never voted on by the House.
