Police: Two hospitalized after road rage incident leads to shooting in Ohio

When officers arrived at the scene, they found two gunshot victims

COLUMBUS, OH (WCMH) - Just a few hours after a shooting at a party in Weinland Park left four people injured, Columbus Police responded to a report of another shooting, this time in Franklinton. 

It happened around 12:21am on the 300 block of South Central Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found one victim with a gunshot wound to the right leg and another victim with a gunshot wound to the stomach.  

Dispatchers say both victims were taken to Grant Medical Center. One victim was in stable condition and the other was in critical condition. Both victims are now in stable condition. 

Police have identified the victims as Jason Boggs, 31, and Mark Spurlock, 34. According to investigators, the men were involved in a road rage incident. Leading up to the shooting, the suspects got out of a maroon car and began to fight the victims. Then, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and opened fire.
