DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The race for governor of Ohio made a stop in Dayton on Thursday. Both candidates held town hall meetings at the Dayton International Airport.
The Town Hall meetings are all about the business community.
The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the event. It’s an opportunity for Chamber members to hear directly from candidates about business issues.
Attorney General Mike DeWine and Richard Cordray spoke separately with question-and-answer sessions following each presentation.
Democratic candidate Cordray talked about supporting homegrown small business, investing in infrastructure and improving skills training.
Republican candidate DeWine highlighted the jobs plan he released this week. DeWine’s plan also focuses on building skills as well as investing in new research and streamlining business regulations.
