As we celebrate Women’s History Month, one woman talked about paving her way through the field.

Rebecca Armstrong works for the Ohio Department of Transportation in Ashtabula County. Thirty years ago, she was one of the first five women to start there.

She was also ODOT’s first female manager in the county.

Now, she sees more women working in transportation.

She gave the following advice to women looking to make a change, “Don’t be afraid that you don’t know it all, ’cause you don’t have to know it all and put yourself out there,” she said. “Don’t let anyone think you don’t belong at the table.”
