COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicle and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation services are up and running on Saturday after a scheduled outage was canceled.
The scheduled Verizon network outage was originally set to take place over the weekend due to nationwide maintenance service impacting all state motor agencies in the country.
Driver license and permit transactions can now be processed as normal.
Applications for photo IDs, Medical Examiner Certificate (MEC) transactions, or those customers seeking a photo will be processed normally.
BMV will update customers via social media to alert them of future network outages.
Also, many services provided by Ohio BMV can be done online.
