CLEVELAND (AP) – Authorities in Cleveland say a 1-year-old boy has been killed in what they say may have been an accidental shooting.
Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia says officers were called to the home at 6:20 p.m. Saturday for a shooting involving a small child. The boy was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials say homicide detectives are investigating the shooting at the two-story home on Rexwood Avenue as accidental.
Ciaccia says the boy was shot by someone inside the home.
Police did not say who shot the child, give the child’s name, or release the name of the suspected shooter.
