WATCH: Body cam of Oregon deputies busting in on Roomba ‘intruder’

National and World

WASHINGTON CO., Ore. (CNN Newsource) — Law enforcement in Oregon have released the body cam footage of a “burglary in progress” — which turned out to be a Roomba, mistaken for an intruder.

It all started when a woman in Washington County called 911 to report a stranger in her bathroom. She said the person had locked themselves in and she could see shadows moving under the door.

Deputies soon surrounded her home, used a loudspeaker to make commands and brought in a K9.

They finally went in with their guns drawn.

The deputy who wrote the report said after they breached the bathroom door, they found the Roomba and “a thoroughly-vacuumed floor.”
