President Donald Trump responded to news about General Motors deciding to stop production of the Chevy Cruze, leaving Lordstown and other plants without a vehicle to make.
He said he doesn’t like the news and was tough with GM when he heard about it.
“I said, ‘You know, this country has done a lot for General Motors. You better get back in there soon, that’s Ohio.'”
Trump said he told GM if the Cruze isn’t selling, to get another car in that plant. He thinks that will happen in the “not too distant future.”
“The United States saved General Motors and for [CEO Mary Barra] to take that company out of Ohio is not good. I think she’s gonna put something back in soon…but I told her I’m not happy about it at all.”
